The 2009 General Membership meeting was call to order at 9:45 a.m. by the President Herb Spies. With 108 members in attendance a quorum was certified. Guests introduced were: P. Presidents Bob Herman, Tom Reid and Rick Davis, P Secretary Bonnie Herman, Reps from Regions: 3 - George James, 6 - Herb Spies, 7 - Curt Gunderson, 9 - Pat McDowell and 11 - Chris Hildenbrand. Forrest McClure - Librarian. Absent were Treas. Jim Cooper and P Pres Shari Davis. The following board members were present:

The minutes from the last VAC Membership meeting in Bozeman, Montana were read by the Secretary Sidra Spies. They were accepted as read.. Herb Spies read and accepted the Treasurer’s report of Jim Cooper. The balance as of April was $20,683, with inventory assets of $8,600.
Correspondence: Letters of resignation were received from Rob Baker, 2nd VP, Fred Coldwell, Historian, and Toby Folwick, Web Master. 3rd VP Dallas Peak moved up to 2nd VP. President Spies had sent out of prior letter to all members asking for volunteers to fill the offices of Historian and Web Master. He appointed Joe Petplinski as Historian and Tim Kendziorski was appointed as interim webmaster to implement the website.
Committee Reports: Oral Reports were given by Interim Web Master Tim Kendziorski; Membership chair, Tim Kendziorski; Kimber Moore, Vintage Advantage Editor; Forrest McClure, Librarian; Paul Fancy, Concourse de elegance chair; Blue Beret Contributor, Bob Herman; Region Reps: Dallas Peak for Paul Wadell, Reg 2; George James, Region 3; Herb Spies, Region 6; Curt Gunderson, Reg 7; Pat McDowell, Reg 9; and Chris Hildenbrand, Reg 11.
Old Business: The Vintage Airstream Club Constitution and Bylaws were submitted to and approved by the WBCCI Constitution/Bylaws Committee. The approval/ notification letter was entered into the minutes. Don Elliott moved, seconded by Chris Hildenbrand to accept the 2009 Constitution and Bylaws. Vote was unanimous. Nominating Committee Chair, P Pres Shari Davis submitted the following Slate of Officer for 2010 read by President Herb Spies:
- President Scott Scheuermann
- 1st VP Dallas Peak
- 2nd VP Jim Cooper
- 3rd VP Jim Hildenbrand
- Secretary Sidra Spies
- Treasurer Jim Cooper and TBA to take officer in December.
There were no nominations from the floor. Bob Herman moved, seconded by J. J. Johnjulio to close the nominations. Membership vote was unanimous.
New Business:
- Bud Cooper Trophy will be on permanent display at Jackson Center. A virtual trophy will be designed, along with pictures of current and past winners. This will be kept personal and in taste. Annual winners will still receive a smaller plaque for display.
- President Herb Spies thanked all for their help and support in making this a successful year. Special awards were presented to Kimber Moore, Tim Kendziorski, and Paul Fancy for their hard work this year, going over and beyond the call of duty.
Announcements: Bonnie Herman thanked Region Presidents for the Happy Hour that they sponsored for the VAC. It was wonderful and much appreciated. Reg. 4 J. J. Johnjulio responded for the group. President Herb Spies announced that Bud Cooper had passed away June 17, 2009. The cards signed by the VAC membership and monies collected as a donation to his church were mailed to his wife. A Moment of Silence was observed. The President asked for a show of hands or new VAC members and they were asked to stand and receive our welcome.
Installation of 2010 Officers: VAC Member and Region 4 President J.J. Johnjulio installed the 2010 VAC Officers. The membership honored and welcomed the new Board.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:10 a.m.
