Be sure to click on blog title to go to blog to see pictures. I have had this trailer for about a year and a half. I had all kinds of wild plans to upgrade lighting, change the stain on the wood, new appliances, was even planning to keep the outside white! Good thing I just sat on it and did research because now I just want to keep it pretty much stock or as it was on the 63-64 Around the World Caravan. When I bought it there was only a twin bed curbside and a pile of wood that was the upper twin bunks. For some reason the P.O.x2 knocked the bunk beds apart into pieces but luckily kept all the pieces! Street side was a bank of drawers sitting on the wheel well ... after a wild ride across a field (don't ask!) the drawers were on the floor and I realized that they were 1/2 of the street side twin bed! 120 AC worked, plumbing was gone, no cushions, have yet to check 12 volt cause of moved wires/batteries (from front to back). Since I have been stripping paint, mostly to keep neighbors at bay, I have found all kinds of changes done to the trailer and not all good. That means $$$ to fix things that were not properly fixed in the first place. (Heavy sigh!) Po told me that there was only a soft spot by the door ... HAH! LIES! The whole perimeter of the floor is gone or going ... I expected this but was sad to have it proven true. Nyloboard is in my future ...

Well I am beginning to think I am on the trip to hell. Started out in paradise but it is going not well in many ways. I am almost getting to point where I do not trust our little Airtini - it keeps breaking something. First of all, we went to the NorCal rally at Jackson Rancheria. That was great, we always have a fun time with those folks. Met some really great people. We were supposed to leave from Jackson Rancheria and head out to Oil Trough Arkansas. But, as I mentioned a few days ago, we discovered that the rear oil seal had gone bad and was dumping oil to the tune of a quart every 100 miles. It had to be replaced. Great in the fall for kayaking and sitting back. I have never blogged, so this could prove interesting learning how to do it.
Here goes, I'll try the new blog. We are getting ready to strip the clear coat off the 67 Trade Wind, replace the wood bed in the 54 Chevy pickup, and change the sprinkler heads in the water system. Jim
